GEAR UP Kentucky Staff

GEAR UP maintains a small administrative staff at the Council on Postsecondary Education in Frankfort. Five universities and two educational entities designated as area coordinating institutions assist the Council with administration and implementation of GEAR UP across the state. Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, Hazard Community College, Morehead State University, Murray State University, the University of Louisville, Fayette County Public Schools, and the Northern KY Council of Partners each employs a program associate and at least one site coordinator. The program associates approve and monitor project activities and grant spending within their regions. The site coordinators work directly with K-12 schools and partners to assist with activities and data collection.
